Tired of Being the Hero is a first-person dark fantasy RPG with a management twist and a deeper story about the choices we make. As a retired hero, experience retirement, get to know the local villagers, train peasants into warriors, raise morale, and stand together against monsters that refuse to let you fade into memory. Who would hold such a grudge against you anyways?

WHATS IN THE DEMO?

This demo is a self-contained slice of Tired of Being the Hero, built to give you a real taste of the story and combat.

Included in the demo:

• Cabin where you can chop wood

• Tutorial

• Two combat maps featuring wave-based encounters

• Village hub where you can meet and talk with villagers

• Core combat systems: melee, spells, ranged attacks, and reflecting enemy projectiles

• Early upgrade options to experiment with different playstyles

The full game will expand on this with:

• A complete narrative campaign that follows your journey as a retired adventurer

• Multiple regions and biomes beyond the demo maps

• A wider skill tree with extra relics giving you unique powers and lore

• More villagers, more interactions and choices that shape the story

• Progression systems that grow across the entire game

• More enemy types and bosses

Test Your Villagers Against Powerful Foes

If you do choose to coddle the weak...Help them defeat enemies to raise morale. Spend that morale to increase their level and power. Teach them new abilities, shift their roles, work together to survive the night.
