Manufactured from 1957, Keio 2000 series are one of Japanese vintage electric multiple units that are still in service until this day. Originated from Keio Railway, it is now still running with third hand status in Choshi electric railway. Previously second-hand status in Iyo railway from 1984 until retired in 2009. With an electrical system of DC 600/750 V, narrow gauge (1067 mm / 3 ft 6 in), and Maximum operating speed of 65 km/h, this makes Keio 2000 perfect for common Japanese rural railway.
