Описание

IMPUNES is an open-world game set in Brazil with a unique proposition: roleplay-sandbox, where you choose your paths and game rules, infinitely expandable with content from us or the community.

Create your own character, or play specific character stories;
Rob; or kill; or explore; or just work... You create your own path. Legal or illegal;
Have gameplay with realistic simulation elements - or not, it's your choice;
Immerse yourself in a universe with its own lore, inspired by Brazilian culture and humor.

Setting

Discover the city of Canário, located in the state of Santa Camila, a gradient from luxury to waste, where big businessmen and politicians dominate the city through the use of power and corruption.

Luxury cars and skyscrapers, ostentation that contrasts with the lower classes, in a beautiful beach town, surrounded by hills with trails through dense forest and a river that flows into the sea.

Map with complete and realistic structure, an experience of being in a real city.

Explore different sights and activities in the form of mini-games throughout the game world.

Experience the difference in weather, with seasons and periodic events on an internal calendar.

Nature with a fauna and flora of literally hundreds of Brazilian species.

Vehicles

A variety of vehicles, ranging from cars, motorcycles, trucks, boats, to bicycles and scooters, with their own fictional design, inspired by Brazilian vehicles - modern, old and historic.

Many variations and tuning customizations, including automotive sound system and manual application of customizable stickers.

Feel like your vehicle is truly yours: Own dynamic systems for dust, mud, paint wear, polishing, etc.

Characters

Own character editor: Create your own protagonist and play as they, whether male or female, fat or thin, young or old, etc. The game will adapt to your character, and your actions may result in changes.

Dozens of clothing items, hairstyles, beards, and hundreds of prints and tattoos. Customizable with your own images.

Pedestrians and mission/quest characters use the same system, facilitating public figures and parodies in community content.

Weapons

Dozens of fictional weapons inspired by common Brazilian weapons, from pocket knives and pistols to anti-tank cannons. There are also secret homemade weapons.

Buy weapons illegally and customize them with new parts and paint jobs, all through an immersive van owned by a somewhat patriotic owner.

Realistic dirt, wear, and ammunition systems with a ballistic system that simulates the physics of a projectile, including air resistance, penetration through different materials, with the ability to penetrate walls and reach internal organs.

Gameplay

Light, semi-realistic gameplay, with optional realistic elements in the form of "Rules".

Two predefined options: Arcade and Simulation, with the option to customize them to your liking. For example, weapons can be visible or hidden on the body, cars can have limited fuel, hunger and thirst can be controlled, etc. Mods can further expand the mechanics, including inventory items.

Many advanced proprietary systems bring the game world to life. Inspired by other great titles - we like attention to detail.

Roleplay

A roleplay system, legal or illegal, where, based on your actions, you become Upright or Unpunished (from the game name in Portuguese).

The more Upright or Unpunished your character is, the more new mechanics and paths you can follow are unlocked, such as good citizen mechanics and jobs, or criminal contacts for more criminal missions.

You can buy land and build your own businesses, whether legal or illegal, or simply a small house to live in, choosing the design and furnishing it.

Your character's money really has value: It won't be that easy to buy your new car, or apartment in a luxury building.

The police and media value you: When you are arrested, there will be the entire scene at the police station and news, dynamically based on your actions.

Replayable

Each character has their own story and extensive stats. Tired? Start a "new world" to write a new character's story! How about something more realistic, like a simulation? Or more arcade-like? Hardcore mode with permanent death? IMPUNES strives to be a replayable game.

Story(s)

Initially, IMPUNES is designed as a non-linear or somewhat linear free-roam role-playing game, without a unique story, but with its own lore where your character will follow their own path. But we, and the community itself, will also create multiple new stories, including specific characters with their own personalities, all facilitated by our own character editor and auxiliary tools.

Since we don't limit ourselves to a single story, both we and our community can create new stories with different themes (drama, humor, racing), whether short or long, or even loose missions to play with any player character, for example, a quest in reference to a meme or event.

This way, IMPUNES will be infinitely expandable depending on its success, and we don't intend to sell stories as DLC, they will simply be accessible within the game for you to choose and play, also open source.

Mods, addons, community content

IMPUNES is an indie game developed by a team that grew up modding games, so it's only fair to support mods.

External scripting using Lua programming: We want even beginner programmers to be able to code new content into the game, such as jobs, missions, environments, or even new mechanics through new inventory items. Official scripts will be open-source for community programmers to learn and build upon.
Installation of vehicle addons: Plugin for Blender that allows you to adapt and export cars, bikes, etc. Directly to the game, thus being able to replace or expand the vehicle fleet.
Installation of other objects: With the same plugin for Blender, it will be possible to adapt and export other types of objects, such as weapons, inventory items and other objects that may be useful for expanding the game map, or for use in jobs, missions, etc.
Future plans: In the long term, we want anyone, even those without programming knowledge, to be able to create missions or even complete stories, all within the game, through a visual interface, and share them for others to play, rate, etc. IMPUNES will be like a storytelling platform. Overall, we plan to integrate all of this with Steam.

2nibble is a Brazilian startup company founded by a small team of game lovers. We're not a mercenary company; we're gamers just like you.

IMPUNES is a low-budget indie game, so don't expect it and don't compare it to million-dollar games, we're just trying to make our dreams come true, and we'll do our best to deliver an honest, quality product, even if it takes years.

At this point in time (August 2025, almost 3 years in active development), the project still has a low budget, little media support, few developers working for free in their free time, and we've had to invest tens of thousands of dollars of our own money, in addition to denying high-level jobs.
